The following accounts are taken from the book Abduction by Jenny Randles.
"Sitting on the truck's tailboard Dawn first became aware of a strange feeling: 'I was icy cold and it was a hot day. We all felt the same. Then I felt that something was touching me. The Gurkha said he felt it too.' The colonel was in charge of other travelers in the convoy (including two Plymouth Brethren) and ran to the front of the truck. As he did so, he crashed to the ground as if felled. This pressure in the air was now causing the vehicles to vibrate. Dawn jumped to the rescue of her husband, who was dazed and winded. It was then that she realised that the Gurkha and villagers were staring at something sweeping towards them. 'It was a strange blurred object... It looked like a grey, floating mass slightly above the surface but definitely moving.'
By now the villagers had fled but Dawn was mesmerised by the object, which went around the back of the truck as if inspecting it. In size it was 'as big as a large house,' and then it changed shape: 'It wasn't a hard object. It was sort of woolly edged. It seemed to be solid in the middle but the outside seemed like vapour.' It was basically round but unlike nything she had seen before. She remembers in a sort of frozen tableau the faces of the soldiers struck dumb by fear. The thing just hovered beside them and was now so solid '...that I expected a door to open and the driver to get out.' This did not happen. Instead there was a manifestation of the Oz Factor. Everything went extremely quiet. Time stood still.
The next thing Dawn remembers is picking her husband up off the ground, with the object no longer in sight. The villagers refused to talk about it. The soldiers were silent for hours. Eventually, in a state of shock and by mutual consent, the entire group decided to return to Nepal."

As if this experience was not enough, Dawn had an even more terrifying encounter in October 1981. She had gone on holiday to Scotland as part of a Christian group and decided to visit the Isle of Mull. Two Americans named Dwight and Geraldine went with her. They hired a car and Dwight drove. After taking the ferry, they toured around a bit and then decided to explore Tobermory, the main town. They were on a remote mountain road in the midst of the island surrounded by the Salen Forest and with heather-clad hills inland and the sea to the north. It was a fine sunny day, and Dwight wanted to take some photographs, so they slowed to a stop. As they did so, a mist began to congregate around the car, thickening and solidifying. With it came a heavy pressure. Dwight, who was no scared rabbit, yelled and jumped back. Both he and his wife ducked below the windscreen, burying their heads in their hands. The car began to vibrate.
Dawn was more composed. She had the advantage of having been through this before and was determined to see more of it this time. As the object became black and now totally enveloped the front of the car, she would see something vague moving inside it. 'This was different from Tibet. There was this blurred silver shape, like a thing or person, I don't know. But it was moving. I shouted to the others to look up, but they didn't. Then it - ah - disappeared.

The following account is from the book Confrontations by Jacques Vallee
"It read like a front-page story in a supermarket tabloid or a chapter in the more sensational books about UFO abductions: a women driving along a city street in Redding, California, with her two daughters and another girl had been frightened by a sudden burst of smoke that enveloped her station wagon. All sound seemed to stop around them as they floated along inside this cloud. In alarm, they went to a friend's house and found that they were missing an interval of thirty minutes, during which they could not account for their activities. They suffered various physiological reactions over the following hours, and the next day strange puncturelike spots appeared on the skin of the two girls, who dreamed of men holding various weapons that were pointed at their heads.
The event had taken place between 9:05pm and 10:10pm on Wednesday, May 7, 1980

1987, Gold Coast, Australia - Attempted Abduction by Gnomes
Taken from Malcolm Smith's Malcolm's Musing's Website - http://malcolmsanomalies.blogspot.com
********************************************************************************
Then, only last week I received an extraordinary account by e-mail. By itself this was unusual; you will note that my e-mail address does not appear anywhere on this blog. The lady in question was obviously determined enough to search for it among my other blogs. I am also impressed with the second half of the story, about her unremitting attempts for nearly thirty years to find a person or an organisation who would take it seriously, and perhaps provide some sort of explanation. (I'm afraid I can't help much on the second issue.) She has asked me not to divulge her identity. Indeed, she originally provided only her first name, year of birth, and the suburb where she used to live. You could never trace her with that meagre information. Just the same, she has now provided an amended version which removes even that information. Whatever else can be said about her, she is not seeking notoriety! She has also provided a lot of background information which is not for publication, and does not greatly affect the narrative, but is indicative of her sincerity. I am convinced that this is an account of a genuine experience, make of it what you wish. As she put it:
I suspect my account will be ridiculed and/or disbelieved. I doubt I'd believe it myself if I read it somewhere. But who knows - someone may have experienced something similar, in which case they might be relieved to know they're not alone with their experience. Or, someone may have heard about a similar experience occurring to someone else.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Hello Malcolm
I came across your site via
another and have spent the past hour or so reading your posts. I've
saved your site in Favourites and will return to continue reading as
time permits.
The reason I'm writing now is
because once or twice, you've mentioned those who believe in fairies,
gnomes, etc. and the impression I gained was one of, 'That's how deluded
some people actually are'. For the larger part of my life, I'd have
agreed with you. However, I became one of those people you've mentioned
and just as you've said you were initially highly sceptical of Yowies,
only to later change your opinion, perhaps my experience might persuade
you to consider 'little people' sightings as potentially valid as the
more common (albeit still rare) Yowie sightings.
I am now in my late 60s. The
experience I'll briefly relate here took place on the southern Gold
Coast, Queensland in 1984. Our house was less than ten years old as
were all the others in the area. At the time the event took place, I
was divorced and lived in the house with my two young children. I'm
neither a drinker of alcohol nor a user of drugs - they've never been
part of my life. I had no interest in fairies, goblins, gnomes, elves
or the like, nor had I been reading about them or watching anything
about them on TV, etc. If asked if I believed in 'little people' I
would unhesitatingly have replied 'no'.
In 1984 I attended a seminar in
New Zealand along with several dozen other Aussies. I'd recently
developed a fear of plane travel, although previously I'd enjoyed it. A
local chemist, whom I knew, had given me three or four tablets to take
an hour before departure to settle my nerves. I took one prior to our
departure from NZ. Consequently, I slept from NZ to Sydney where we
changed planes. I slept from Sydney to Brisbane and slept through the
drive from Brisbane to the Gold Coast. The driver, a colleague, carried
my suitcase into my home. He conducted a cursory check of the premises
before departing. My children were in the care of a neighbour. I was
to collect my children the following morning. [She wished to point out
she was by no means tired when the event occurred. She thinks it was
about 8 or 8.30 pm.]
It was very rare to have a
night to myself. Being well-rested and relaxed, I was looking forward
to spending a few hours reading or watching TV. First, I made a cup of
tea. The television was on. The front main door was open but the
security screen was locked at the catch. As I sipped the tea, I decided
I might as well unpack. I carried an armload of clothes to my bedroom
and hung them in the wardrobe. I noticed the light in the room seemed
unusually bright. Something was strange about the atmosphere. I had no
time to analyse it before I was overcome with exhaustion so intense
that I only had time to stagger backward to the bed. I lay face up on
the bed. I was concerned my shoes might make a mark on the bedspread. I
looked down to make sure only the heels of my shoes were resting on the
bedspread. And that was that. I must have lost consciousness.
Next I knew, I could hear the
sound of several voices. They were argumentative voices and seemed to
telling each other to 'hurry, hurry'. I managed to lift my head and
looked down to the source of the voices. There were several small
people. They were trying to pull me from the bed, feet first and into
the wardrobe. The wardrobe was only half a metre, approx. from the foot
of the bed. I saw that the left hand side of the wardrobe was open.
The wardrobe had two sliding doors. I'd hung the clothes in the
right-hand side which had required that both wardrobe doors be pushed to
the left. And now the little people were trying to pull me into the
left-hand side, which would have required someone to push both doors to
the right. I should explain here that during the event, I must have
been operating similar to a video-camera, in that I 'saw' and heard
only. And what I saw/heard must have been committed to memory. At the
time, however, I did not experience normal thought processes. So what I
remembered afterwards (and now) is the product of my mental
video-camera. At the time, it did not dawn on me that the doors had been
moved. I simply saw several small people trying to pull me from the bed
and into the open-half of the wardrobe.
I experienced no shock or
alarm. Instead, I told myself I had lots of time to continue sleeping
because I was far too big and heavy for them to move very far. Now, I'm
of the opinion those thoughts were not my own but were in some way
suggested to me. Whatever the case, I must have lost consciousness
again, because the next thing I can remember is 'waking up' to find
several people crowded around me. They didn't speak as far as I know. I
was now lying with my head at the foot of the bed, so my feet must have
been at the head of the bed. Again, I was similar to a video camera. I
have very clear memory of how the people appeared. There were males
and females. I can't remember how many, but at least six, possibly
more. One -- a male -- was larger than the others and appeared to be
their leader. He was closest to me. At first he stared into my eyes
with both of his eyes. Then there's a blank and his position had
changed and he was looking at me with only one of his eyes. Something
happened there, but I can't remember. I suspect he was imparting
something to me.
The creatures appeared as the
typical gnomes or peasants from story books. Based on the height of the
bed, their height was perhaps two, to two and a half feet, tall. They
were overdressed. Their clothing was suited to a much colder climate. I
can remember it in considerable detail, possibly because in those days I
did a lot of home-sewing. They were Caucasian. Their skin looked
weathered, as if they worked outdoors a lot. Their skin had a muddy
cast. They had strong facial bones - wide cheekbones, wide jaws, strong
chins and noses. Their eyes and mouths were long horizontally but
vertically narrow and seemed recessed between the strong facial bones.
Best way to describe their faces is as 'squashed', as if a heavy weight
had been placed on the tops of their heads, squashing them downward.
Their bodies were stout, robust, with deep chests, broad waists, strong
shoulders. I couldn't see the bottom half too well. [She later advised
me that the men had no beards or other facial hair, and the women wore
scarves wrapped under their chins.]
I must have lost consciousness
again because when I saw them next, I was still in the same position
(head at the foot of the bed near the wardrobe) but they were now in the
centre of the room, looking at me. I looked back at them. Still felt
no fear or alarm. I just looked at them and they looked at me. I had
no thought processes at that time. There seemed to be more of them than
before. Amongst them were a couple of younger males who seemed a bit
nervous or unsure. The other men were impassive. The women however
seemed to enjoy my predicament. Based on my mental video-recording, I
later regarded them as overworked, joyless and not over intelligent. It
seemed I was simply a 'job' to them. They seemed a bit nervous.
Next I was aware of was the
voices again, as before, querulous, talking over the top of each other
and urging each other to 'hurry, hurry'. I raised my head and to my
alarm saw that they'd almost succeeded in pulling my legs from the bed.
My body was now right way up on the bed again with my head at the head
of the bed and my feet near the wardrobe. When I saw they'd almost
pulled all of my legs from the bed, a surge of adrenaline shot through
me and I grasped that it wouldn't be much longer before gravity did the
rest of the job for them. All they'd have to do would be to steer my
falling body into the wardrobe.
I yelled out and kicked at
them. Then I jumped from the bed and into the centre of the room. The
room seemed far brighter than usual. I remember standing there and
yelling at them. I still wasn't afraid. I was angry with them.
They muttered between
themselves. They looked and sounded resigned, bitter. Then they filed
into the open half of the wardrobe. They seemed to go in then down, as
if filing down a ramp inside the wardrobe.
I stood there watching them for
probably a few seconds. Then -- still with the light seeming far
brighter than usual -- I turned toward the door and left the room. It
was only a small house. The hallway was only three or four metres
long. I left the room, went through the hallway toward the living
room. And that's when I became completely consumed with terror.
Nothing happened between yelling at the creatures and making it toward
the living-room, but in those few seconds I was overtaken by sheer
terror which seemed to escalate with every instant. I've never known
fear like it, yet there was no real reason for it. I suspect now that
when the creatures departed, they removed whatever calming influence
they'd subjected me to during the ordeal itself.
After phoning the colleague
who'd dropped me off earlier that evening, I stumbled out of the house
and into the middle of the road. I was desperate to be with someone and
was moaning in the hope someone would come out and rescue me. I was
completely without shame and must have been reduced to the level of a
small child. But I must stress that I wasn't afraid -- consciously at
least -- that the little creatures would return to attack me. There
wasn't a real focus for the terror -- it just was. The terror was
feeding more terror.
Not long afterwards, my
colleague returned and drove me to his house. He didn't speak to me. I
didn't care. I was just glad to be with someone and to be getting away
from my house. When we arrived at his place, I got into bed but I
couldn't get warm. He put a pile of blankets on top of me but I was
still freezing. I realise now I was in shock. I wouldn't let him leave
the room or turn off the lights. I must have fallen asleep. When I
awakened, he wasn't there. Next morning, he wouldn't discuss any of
it. I was anxious he thought I'd gone insane and tried to explain what
had happened. He didn't want to talk about it, but did say he'd never
seen anyone so terrified as I'd been when he saw me in the road. We
never discussed it again, despite that we married the following year.
When I asked him how long had elapsed between when he'd dropped me off
(after our return from New Zealand) and receiving my phone call asking
him to come and get me, it seemed the entire experience of the little
people had been no more than perhaps fifteen minutes, possibly less.
In approx. 2004, I decided to
submit an account of the experience. In the twenty years which had
elapsed, I had searched in the hope of discovering others had the same
or similar experience, without success. There was no internet then of
course, so I was reliant on books. I found only one mention, in a book
by Jenny Randles, who said 7% of 'aliens' had been described as looking
like 'gnomes'. It was a relief to discover I was not alone in my
experience, although I did not believe the creatures I'd seen had been
extraterrestrial aliens. When I decided in 2004 to leave a record of my
experience somewhere, I didn't know where to submit it. Finally, I
chose an organisation which was a UFO research group in Queensland.
The Qld. research group replied to
say, in response to my enquiry, that they had no record of anyone else
having an experience with gnome-type entities. They asked if they could
publish my account in their forthcoming magazine. I replied I was in
agreement, on the condition they did not disclose my identity. They said
they would not and advised they'd be in touch once their magazine was
published in approx. one month's time.
Some weeks later, the Qld.
research group got in touch with me. They were astounded by the latest
development. They said the day before, a woman in Melbourne had phoned
them. She'd been close to hysterical and claimed gnome type creatures
had been running through her house for a few hours. Her adult daughter
was present at the time. The woman wanted someone to go to her house and
get rid of the gnome type creatures.
The Queensland UFO research
group said they'd told the woman they'd contact someone closer to her
about the situation, which they did. Apparently, the Qld group had
contacted a Melbourne UFO research group and had given them the woman's
contact details.
In telling me this the
following day, the Qld. research group said it was impossible for the
Melbourne woman to have known about my experience, because the Qld
group's magazine had been delivered to their printer mere hours before
the Melbourne woman contacted them. In other words, the Qld group's
magazine hadn't even been printed yet, let alone distrubuted. The Qld
group said they couldn't get over the coincidence. Nor could they
understand why both the Melbourne woman and I ( I live in Sydney) had
contacted a UFO group in Queensland. I said I had most probably
contacted them because my own experience had occurred in Queensland.
I asked the Qld group if they'd
forward my contact details to the woman in Melbourne because I was
eager to compare notes with her. She was the only other person of whom I
was aware who'd experienced the same as I. But when the Qld group
replied, it was to tell me that the Melbourne woman had told them she
didn't want to be contacted, not by me or anyone else. The Queensland
group told me this was often the case. They said people want help at
the time, but once the situation's been resolved and/or when they've had
time to calm down, people become afraid their experience will be
reported in the media. They're afraid they'll be subjected to ridicule
generally and particularly by those they know, such as neighbours,
employers, etc.
My account was subsequently
published in the Qld UFO research group's magazine, in hard copy and
online. My identity had not been revealed and I'd been identified only
as 'C'. Unfortunately, publication of my experience did not succeed in
encouraging others to come forward with similar experiences.
I posted my experience in a
number of online forums afterwards. And I discovered a group known as
the ELFEN Project which professes to be an organisation with expertise
in gnomes, elves, etc. I submitted my account to ELFEN and received a
reply from someone who described himself as Professor B. Professor B
claimed he'd just returned from Patagonia where he'd been investigating
gnome type entities there. He said ELFEN was involved (at that time)
with approximately 60 families in Canada and the US -- families whose
homes harboured gnome and similar type entities. He said ELFEN acted as
mediator between the entities and the families involved. Gnome
entities, unlike ghosts (I was told) do not follow people if they move.
Gnomes, unlike ghosts, I was advised, attach to places and not
invidivuals. I was told that while my experience fell into the top ten
percent of seriousness, it was not uncommon. Apparently, the gnome type
entities sometimes pull people's hair, pinch or scratch them. I was
advised I should regard my experience as a privilege.
Later on, I learned about
Charles Bonnet syndrome. Those who allegedly suffer that syndrome claim
to see imps, pixies, elves. Amost all of them have some degree of
sight-impairment. I read that a teaching hospital in Manchester, UK,
investigated the syndrome. They were at pains to reassure subjects that
their claimed experiences would not result in their being placed in 'a
home', which was of great concern to experiencers. Researchers involved
were at pains it be made clear afterwards that those who claimed they'd
seen elves, imps, pixies, were perfectly sane, lucid and did not suffer
senile decay. Many of the subjects had held responsible positions
prior to retirement. Teachers, doctors, head masters and mistresses,
nurses, police officers, lawyers, etc. were cited as being the previous
professions of those now bundled under Charles Bonnet syndrome, it was
explained. Clearly, sight-impairment played a critical role. Many of
those who'd seen the elves, imps, pixies, had chosen not to reveal what
they were seeing, for fear they'd be judged (by family, doctors, etc.)
as senile. Not all who'd seen the entities were elderly. But
sight-impairment was common to most.
It's said we see only .2%
(that's one fifth of one percent) of all that exists around us. Dogs
and cats, etc. are said to be aware of far more than humans, for
example. Sight-impairment may in some way make people less reliant on
what is generally regarded as visible and may make them more receptive
to what previously had been invisible.
I'm glad I read about the
investigation into Charles Bonnet syndrome conducted by the Manchester
teaching hospital, because next time I looked for it online, I couldn't
find it. The articles I was able to find online tended to be dismissive
of Charles Bonnet syndrome and portrayed experiencers rather negatively.
I do appreciate how ridiculous
my experience will sound to you. That's the reason I didn't discuss it
with those I knew at the time and in all the years afterwards. My
daughter revealed, as an adult, that she'd always known about the gnome
entities at the house in question. It explained many of her behaviours
when she was a child. I asked her why she hadn't told me all those
years ago. She replied that even as a young child, she'd known she would
not be believed. It pains me to admit, she was correct. I would very
probably have told her the gnomes did not exist and she'd simply dreamt
it or imagined it. When I think back to how terrified I'd been as an
adult, I can hardly bear to think of what it must have been like for her
as a child. She'd obviously given the matter a lot of thought as a
child and had worked out that the wardrobe in question and the hall
linen-cupboard were the focus of activity. The two shared a common
wall. My daughter asked me, when she was an adult, if I'd noticed how
she and her brother had always run through the hall. She said they'd
had to 'psyche themselves up' before going through that short hallway. I
hadn't noticed. She said she could scarcely believe I hadn't or failed
also to notice how she and her brother avoided taking their shoes from
the hall linen cupboard. I'd always believed I was an attentive parent,
but clearly I hadn't been.
Anyway, that's it. Not as
brief as I promised, so I apologise. It's my only experience of the
creatures. Quite possibly I might remember more under hypnosis, my
daughter also. But I don't want to know more, to be frank. What would I
do with further information, were it to be uncovered? And I'm of the
belief that if my own mind conceals things from me, then it's for my own
good. Clearly, my memory is faulty -- because if they could reverse my
position on the bed, they could just as easily have pulled me into the
wardrobe. So it seems a 'masking memory' was implanted in my mind.
I do not believe the gnome-type
entities were benign. Their voices and the expressions on their faces
were not friendly. Whatever the entities are, I do not believe they
regard mankind kindly. I consider their actions to be an invasion, an
assault. And the fact they left me in a state of sheer terror is
indicative of their vindictiveness, in my opinion, as is their targeting
of small children. If my suspicions are correct, the gnome entities
are the 'workers' who in turn are answerable to someone/something else.
The imps, pixies, elves, etc. seen by those with -- allegedly --
Charles Bonnet syndrome, do not terrorise witnesses, apparently.
Witnesses do not claim to be afraid of those entities. So very
possibly, although often lumped together, gnome-entities and the imps,
are two different species.
Before I go, I read two
accounts online several years ago which illustrate the effect the
gnome-entities have on others. One account was from South America. Two
women were walking to walk along a bush track when they saw a gnome
entity on the track ahead of them. One of the women was so badly
affected that she had to be taken away in an ambulance suffering severe
shock. The other account was from the UK. A woman said she and her
daughter were on a bus tour which stopped for lunch. The woman and
daughter decided to take a brief walk while waiting for the others to
finish. They walked up a track toward a stile and near the stile they
saw a 'gnome'. The woman and her daughter suffered tremendous terror
out of all proportion to the event, apparently -- which is how I'd
describe my own reaction.
The ELFEN Project
said the gnome type entities have been reported from almost all corners
of the globe, including Hawaii apparently, which was a surprise to me.
When I was searching for answers, I wondered if -- because I was born
in the UK -- the gnomes were some sort of 'race memory'. And I thought
gnomes were a Northern European 'myth, legend'. The American Indians
were aware of them, according to what I've read. And they warned their
children to never communicate with the creatures in addition to leaving
gifts for the entities in the hope their crops would not be destroyed.
My reason for writing to you is to
let you know that the reason some people believe in 'little people' is
because they have no option, having experienced them. Despite being
assured that I should consider myself privileged to have had the
experience, I do not feel that way and wish my daughter and I had been
spared it. I wish I'd had the presence of mind to examine my body to
see if it bore any physical trace of the experience, but I rushed
straight home from my colleague's place the next morning in order to
collect my children from my neighbour's place and to prepare their
breakfast, take them to school, etc. I was also very anxious to arrive
at work looking and sounding perfectly sane after the way I must have
appeared when standing in the road the night before. I was scared of
the experience, scared of what it might mean and how it might reflect on
me. I knew I was sane, but knew I'd appeared otherwise. Just as I
realise how unbelievable this must sound to youSource: This is a letter sent to Malcolm Smith and posted on his website Malcolms Musings which can be found here - http://malcolmsanomalies.blogspot.com/2015/08/attempted-abduction-by-gnomes.html
I hope he doesn't mind me reposting it so that I can add my thoughts on this encounter! Will remove of course if so.
*****************************************************************************
This paranormal encounter is up there in the scariest I've ever read. Just imagining being dragged into your wardrobe by scary entities is terrifying to me. I hope the victim was able to recover after something so traumatic. Abduction is something that is central to both faerie and UFO encounters. The faeries would abduct babies, small children, women who are just married, and women just after childbirth, as well as certain adults who are particularly beautiful, talented at music, or are of interest to them. Also those who have slighted or annoyed the faeries in some manner can also be abducted. In the cases of the babies, changelings would be put in the abducted babies place, usually an old decrepit faerie, and 'glamoured' into resembling the baby. I've come across numerous accounts in my readings of the reason for abduction being to bring strong human stock into the faerie bloodline, as the faeries health is waning. Sexual encounters are commonly described when abductees return and describe their experience. This is exactly what is described by UFO abductees when describing their ordeals.
Another suggestion for the cause of this account is sleep paralysis. I have personally experienced sleep paralysis and can attest to the fact that anything can happen during the experience, BUT not once one breaks out of the paralysis and wakes fully. The evidence that shows that this account is not a case of sleep paralysis is the fact that the witness stood up off the bed, and the entities were still there! She also found her body moved around to different positions which would have been almost impossible during a sleep paralysis episode.
Another very interesting thing pointed out during this letter is the condition called Charles Bonnet syndrome. Something that crossed my mind during my study of this condition is the possibility that the sight impairment could allow the patient to see through the veil of everyday sight and to notice the entities that exist just beyond our vision. This would explain the sightings of elves, pixies, gnomes etc.
This account could be looked at through the paradigm of a UFO abduction. Alien entities sometimes utilise faerie glamour of their own in the form of "screen memories," inserted images that replace their visual appearance. Common screen memories are owls. (there is an entire book about the owl and UFO connection called The Messengers: Owls Synchronicity and the UFO Abductee by Mike Clelland. An excellent read, I recommend it highly.) Other screen memories include more human like versions of their alien appearances, and even possibly could be gnomes. Gnomes and faeries are a part of western history and folklore that goes back a thousand years and is deep in the collective consciousness. In this case these alien entities could be tapping into that river of history and using the images of gnomes to mask their genuine appearance. The quote used by Jenny Randles in this letter describing how "7% of aliens were described as looking like gnomes" is supportive of my belief that this encounter is a masked alien abduction attempt. Jenny Randles is one of the best ufologists in my opinion, and her research is impeccable, so I feel comfortable adding it to my evidence. Faeries and alien entities are connected, and are a part of the human collective consciousness in some shape or form but with their own consciousnesses, agendas and physicality. These entities as well as UFOs do not have an extraterrestrial source in my opinion. They are earthbound, from the earth, a part of the human experience, yet apart from it at the same time. What are they? I don't know. But in some shape or form they are real, millions of people throughout history have had paranormal experiences and continue to do so. I hope we can continue to research and learn more to help understand this ethereal part of the human experience.
Here is a link to an interesting news headline describing another abduction by gnomes:

"A man and his family being all in bed, about after midnight, awake in bed, he could perceive a light entring a little room, where he lay, and one after another of some a dozen in the shape of men and two or three women, with small children in their arms, entring in and they seemed to dance, and the room to be far lighter and wider than formerly: they did seem to eat bread and cheese all about a kind of tick upon the ground: they offered him meat, and would smile upon him: he could percieve the whisper of a voice in Welch, bidding him hold his peace, being about four hours thus, he did what he could to wake his wife, and could not; they went out into another room and after some dancing departed, and then he arose, yet being but a very small room he could not find the door, nor the way to bed, until crying out, his wife and family awaked. "

This is an interesting faerie encounter that contains a number of allusions to the UFO mystery. The first is that in all UFO abductions cases, (I say all because of the many hundreds of them I have read, I have yet to find one that does not,) a light is seen before contact is made by the UFO entities. In this account the first thing noticed is a bright light, before the faerie folk enter his room. There is a term called "bedroom visitation" in which this account also fits within, and is used to describe a paranormal event that occurs usually within the falling asleep or waking up period, where the mind is in the state of hypnogogia and the veils between the physical and dream worlds can be easily breached by various consciousnesses. He mentions that when the faeries enter his room it "appeared to be far lighter and wider than formerly." This is very interesting if only there is more information. It could be that the man was "taken" from his room for a period. They then went into another room and "after some dancing departed." The next moment he found himself in a place he didn't recognise, he couldn't find the door or the way to bed, until he cried out, his family awoke and the spell was broken. Another interesting point that is very similar to UFO encounters is the fact that the partner is out cold, and cannot be woken even with violent shaking. This happens regularly in abduction reports.
Taken altogether this faerie report could be construed into a UFO abduction. The abductee wakes to a bright light in his room. Small men come into his room and suddenly he is in a room that is different than the one before. The men and him interacted, dancing and eating, and then was dropped off and woke up his wife.

January 5th 2000, Missouri USA - Trangular UFO
Here is an except from an essay I gave to my UFO group which is entitled "Creating Liminal Spaces - Invoking the Paranormal". It describes a strange encounter of a figure skipping / dancing ON a UFO. Not in front of, outside of, but actually in a UFO in flight.
There are a few elements to the paranormal experience that I'd like to point out. In UFO encounters especially, there seems to be an element of the absurd that permeates the way the phenomena manifests itself. From strangely antiquated windows showing bizarre creatures peering out of craft that are supposed to be extremely advanced, to the occupants of landed UFOs requesting odd items from experiencers. One example of the absurd taking place in UFO sightings is taken from the book Triangle UFOs by David Marler, pg.133
“On the morning of January 5, 2000, a computer technician working for a St. Louis law firm was driving home at 2:00am. As he drove south on Highway 67 in Florissant, Missouri, his attention was drawn to something in the air that was moving toward and then over the highway at an approximated 100 to 200 feet altitude. It appeared to him as a rectangular object that spanned the width of the four lane highway. It “looked like a bus” he stated in testimony recorded in 2004, and on the side of the object was what appeared to be a large”window,” lit up from within. As the object crossed the highway in silence, the man noticed that a Florissant police officer was pulled over on the side of the road and was standing outside his car watching the object. Within the object's illuminated window, the man reported seeing what appeared to be “a child skipping” which then paused at the window and peered outward.”

April 18, 1961 - The Eagle River Incident
The time was approximately 11:00am on April 18, 1961, when Joe Simonton was attracted outside by a peculiar noise similar to "knobby tyres on a wet pavement." Stepping into his yard, he faced a silvery saucer-shaped object brighter than chrome which appeared to be hovering close to the ground without actually touching it. The object was about twelve feet high and thirty feet in diameter. A hatch opened about five feet from the ground, and Simonton saw three men inside the machine. One of them was dressed in a black two-piece suit. The occupants were about five feet in height. Smooth shaven, they appeared to "resemble Italians." They had dark hair and skin and wore outfits with turtleneck tops and knit helmets. One of the men held up a jug apparently made of the same material as the saucer. His motions to Joe Simonton seemed to indicate that he needed water. Simonton took the jug, went inside the house, and filled it. As he returned, he saw that one of the men inside the saucer was "frying food on a flameless grill of some sort." The interior of the ship was black, "the colour of wrought iron." Simonton, who could see several instrument panels, heard a slow whining sound, similar to the hum of a generator. When he made a motion indicating he was interested in the food that was being prepared, one of the men, who was also dressed in black but with a narrow red trim along the trousers, handed him three cookies, about three inches in diameter and perforated with small holes. The whole affair had lasted about five minutes. Finally, the man closest to the witness attached some kind of belt to a hook in his clothing and closed the hatch in such a way that Simonton could scarcely detect its outline. Then the object rose about twenty feet from the ground before taking off straight south, causing a blast of air that bowed some nearby pine trees. Along the edge of the saucer, the witness recalls, were exhaust pipes six or seven inches in diameter. The hatch was about six feet high and thirty inches wide, and although the object has always been described as a saucer, its shape was that of two inverted bowls. When two deputies sent by Sheriff Schroeder, who had known Simonton for fourteen years, arrived on the scene, they could not find any corroborative evidence. The sheriff affirmed that the witness obviously believed the truth of what he was saying and talked very sensibly about the incident.

Here we have a famous UFO report that includes the trade and consumption of food. In the past five hundred years of UK folklore at least, faeries and other otherworldly creatures would often offer their human witnesses food of some sort, and often ask for assistance with mundane tasks, like asking for some milk, or requesting the humans not to build on certain places where the faeries lived underground. These types of cases suggest that UFOs and "alien creatures" have their source somewhere other than with the extraterrestrial hypothesis.

1800s North Wales - David Williams Encounter
"He observed, he said, a brilliant meteor passing through the air, which was followed by a ring or a hoop of fire, and within this hoop stood a man and woman of small size, handsomely dressed. With one arm they embraced each other, and with the other they took hold of the hoop, and their feet rested on the concave surface of the ring. When the hoop reached the earth these two beings jumped out of it, and immediately proceeded to make a circle on the ground. As soon as this was done, a large number of men and women instantly appeared, and to the sweetest music that ear ever heard commenced dancing round and round the circle. The sight was so entrancing that that man stayed as they thought, a few minutes to witness the scene. The ground all around was lit up by a kind of subdued light, and he observed every movement of these beings. By and by the meteor which had at first attracted his attention appeared again, and then the fiery hoop came to view, and when it reached the spot where the dancing was, the lady and gentlemen who had arrived in it jumped into the hoop and disappeared in the same manner in which they had reached the place. Immediately after their departure the Fairies vanished from sight, and the man found himself alone and in darkness and then he proceeded homewards. In this way he accounted for his delay on the way."

Aerial lights, entities arriving in beautiful unusual dress, a hoop of light and a circle of dancing creatures. I bet if they looked in the morning there would be a circle of some sort left behind in the grass!

1969 - Brazil; Abduction of Jose Antonio da Silva
The following abduction occurred at Bebedouro, Minas Gerais,
Brazil, in the afternoon of 4 May, 1969. 24-year-old José Antonio da
Silva, an enlisted soldier, was fishing on a lagoon when suddenly he
heard voices, became aware of figures moving behind him, and felt a
burst of light strike his leg. He dropped his fishing rod and fell to
his knees.
Two beings, about four feet tall, wearing aluminum like suits and what appeared to be helmets, seized him and dragged him to an object sitting on a dirt road. The object was shaped like an upright cylinder and had black platforms at each end. The soldier was taken inside, where the beings put one of their 'helmets' on him...
Da Silva felt the craft rise. The beings talked animatedly among themselves in a language he did not recognize. After a long period of travel, he felt a jarring that suggested their craft had landed. The soldier was then blindfolded and led to a large room, where they removed the wrap from his eyes.
A being stood in front of him who was extremely hairy and slightly taller than the rest. His waist-long hair was reddish and wavy.
When the others took off their helmets, they were of similar appearance.
Da Silva watched as the beings, at one point more than a dozen, examined his fishing equipment and took one of every item he had in duplicate. Later the witness noticed on a low shelf the bodies of four human men, one black, and became terribly frightened. Later still, the beings gave him a dark green liquid to drink out of a cubical stone glass.
The dwarf leader then began a strange conservation with the soldier, mostly about weapons, which was conducted entirely with gestures and drawings.
Da Silva also understood that they wanted him to help in their relations with humans. When the soldier refused, the dwarf snatched the crucifix from the rosary Da Silva always carried with him. As the soldier began praying, a Christlike figure appeared to him, making revelations.
Shortly afterwards, Da Silva was blindfolded again and taken back to earth. As the craft landed, he felt he was being dragged and lost consciousness.
He woke up alone near the town of Vitoria, about 200 miles from where he had been fishing. He was dehydrated and hungry, but drank from a stream and was able to catch some fish as he still had his rod with him.
Only his identity card, which the aliens had examined, had disappeared. He had a swollen knee where the ray had struck him and three open wounds on his neck where the helmet had rubbed against his skin. He had been away four and a half days.
One of the central questions in this case is how Da Silva travelled the 200 miles from Bebedouro to Vitoria, and where his physical body was during his 4.5-day absence. If there had been witnesses and video equipment at both locations would they have observed him being taken aboard a craft, the craft taking off, the landing of the craft at the other location, and his emergence from it?
Most of the abduction could easily be a vision. Jacques Vallee points out the striking parallels between the man's experience and initiation ordeals.
Initiation rituals are characterized by the following general scenes: the candidate is confronted by members of the occult group wearing a special costume; he is blindfolded; he is led by the arm along a rough and difficult route; he is taken into a specially designed chamber with no windows; he is brought into the presence of a 'master'; he is given a test and made to answer questions; he is shown a variety of symbols designed to remind him of death; the situation suggests he may not survive the ordeal; he is given ritual food or drink; he is blindfolded again and led outside. All these elements are present in the case of Antonio da Silva.

The offering of something to drink is almost unanimous in faerie stories where the human has been "taken" away. They report they are offered something to eat or drink but they must not, or that they will be forced to stay forever in the faerie realms. It is something curious to think what this may mean allegorically. Eat or drink this and you will never be the same again forever. You will never be able to rejoin society. What does this mean? something to ponder.

June 1952, US, Little Spring Creek TN.
Marks of legs and center spike in chart, (sic), along with small
heel-less footprints. Around 11pm man hears strange sounds and weird music, sees a shiny thing on the ground, with bright light coming through an open door. 4 or 5 men 4 1/2 to 5 ft. tall dancing and singing in high-pitched voices.
Object aluminum colored, glowing orange and blue in spots, some of
which were too bright to look at directly. Rotating lights on
translucent ball at the end, and a center spike. Stood 3-4 ft. off the
ground, 7-8 ft. thick at center, like two saucers stuck together. Men
reloaded object, advanced toward witness with things in their hands that
looked like guns, but stopped, apparently unwilling to cross a creek. Men walked up ramp or steps into object, which rose vertically in a twisting cork-screw motion, glowing brighter as it rose.

A couple of points in this UFO sighting simply scream faerie. First of all many faerie encounters begin with hearing strange music, singing, and the sounds of groups of people walking or tramping. Secondly seeing these entities dancing is A level faerie behavior. They are most often seen dancing in circles, and afterwards "faerie rings" remain on the ground. Remind you of crop circles or the other types of rings left by UFOS such as "UFO nests" by any chance? The connections are too deep and too constant to be ignored.
The other connection in this account is the entities aversion to crossing the river. It is well known that when being chased by an otherworldly entity, all one needs to do is cross running water and you'll be safe. Standing water does not count, such as lakes or ponds. But the running water is sacred and cannot be crossed by unholy creatures.
Here's another unusual tale of faeries dancing:
One day in August, 1862, David Evans and Evan Lewis had taken their wagons to Brecon, Wales, to pick up some timber needed for ship-building in New Quay. On the trip back, the men and their horses stopped for a short time by Cwn Dwr farm, near the town of Llanwrda. It was about two in the afternoon, and the men were watching reapers busily working in a field on the opposite side of the road, when Evans saw what he at first thought were small wheat stacks moving near a hill about 400 yards away. After a moment he decided they must actually be more reapers, because the fifty or so figures were all dressed alike and were walking fast along a winding footpath on the side of the hill, and Evans mentioned them to Lewis to get him to look over... which is when the first of these figures reached a level spot at the top of the hill and started dancing.
As each of the remaining figures reached the level spot, they gave a jump and started dancing, joining the circle that they were forming on the top of the hill. The two men watched as the figures danced for a short while in a circle; then, one by one, each danced closer and closer to the center of the circle, in a spiral pattern... and then they disappeared one by one into the ground at the center of the circle! As Evans and Lewis looked on in disbelief, one of the figures reappeared at the center, looking all about him for a moment; then another and another, all acting the same, until the whole group was once again dancing on top of the hill. Once again they spiraled to the center, and vanished one by one... but this time no one reappeared.
After staring at the hill for some time, Evans and Lewis finally decided they'd best continue their journey. They came across an old man working on the road, and briefly told him what they had seen and asked if he knew who they were. He replied he had no idea who the figures were... but his grandfather had once stated that the Tylwth Teg -- fairies -- used to dance in the area. And so Evans and Lewis felt that's what they'd seen, and that is what they reported the figures to be when interviewed years later by Jonathan Ceredig Davies, who then included this event in his 1911 book

The Secret Commonwealth
Humans are having encounters with the otherworldly every day. We are experiencing ghosts, UFOs, monsters, experiences of a mystical religious type, bigfoot/yowies, and other entities too numerous and strange to categorise. Hundreds of thousands of reports have been made by dedicated researchers into the Fortean fields, and this is only in the last one hundred years. Non including the undoubtedly more numerous sightings per capita prior to that, and also those who never report their sightings to anybody. There are endless cases in the literature from all over the world, and within the seemingly straightforward easily categorised encounters with the UFO or the bigfoot, there are the even more strange accounts - A bigfoot on a landed UFO? That's not all that weird compared to some of the stuff I've read. So I'm trying to collect these accounts as I read them, for myself and also for others interested in the topic.
Sincerely,
Jessica
