"A man and his family being all in bed, about after midnight, awake in bed, he could perceive a light entring a little room, where he lay, and one after another of some a dozen in the shape of men and two or three women, with small children in their arms, entring in and they seemed to dance, and the room to be far lighter and wider than formerly: they did seem to eat bread and cheese all about a kind of tick upon the ground: they offered him meat, and would smile upon him: he could percieve the whisper of a voice in Welch, bidding him hold his peace, being about four hours thus, he did what he could to wake his wife, and could not; they went out into another room and after some dancing departed, and then he arose, yet being but a very small room he could not find the door, nor the way to bed, until crying out, his wife and family awaked. This is an interesting faerie encounter that contains a number of allusions to the UFO mystery. The first is that in all UFO abductions cases, (I say all because of the many hundreds of them I have read, I have yet to find one that does not,) a light is seen before contact is made by the UFO entities. In this account the first thing noticed is a bright light, before the faerie folk enter his room. There is a term called "bedroom visitation" in which this account also fits within, and is used to describe a paranormal event that occurs usually within the falling asleep or waking up period, where the mind is in the state of hypnogogia and the veils between the physical and dream worlds can be easily breached by various consciousnesses. He mentions that when the faeries enter his room it "appeared to be far lighter and wider than formerly." This is very interesting if only there is more information. It could be that the man was "taken" from his room for a period. They then went into another room and "after some dancing departed." The next moment he found himself in a place he didn't recognise, he couldn't find the door or the way to bed, until he cried out, his family awoke and the spell was broken. Another interesting point that is very similar to UFO encounters is the fact that the partner is out cold, and cannot be woken even with violent shaking. This happens regularly in abduction reports.
Taken altogether this faerie report could be construed into a UFO abduction. The abductee wakes to a bright light in his room. Small men come into his room and suddenly he is in a room that is different than the one before. The men and him interacted, dancing and eating, and then was dropped off and woke up his wife.
